The AuDNet/Unitron "Patient Care Excellence Program"
In May of 2006, a Task Force established by the American Academy of Audiology published its summary guidelines regarding audiologic management of adult hearing impairment. Through a collaboration between AuDNet and Unitron U.S., AuDNet member practices are being encouraged to unify around this standard of care. Unitron is offering additional group purchasing discounts to participating practices, and AuDNet is prepared to coordinate and underwrite a national cosumer survey to quantify the impact this level of care has on overall patient satisfaction, perceptions and success.
Below are the documents interested audiology practices will need to both familiarize themselves with the details of this program, as well as to enroll as a participating practice. Audiology practices that are currently not members of AuDNet must become members before they can participate in this Patient Care Excellence Program. However, as always, there is no fee to become a member of AuDNet and there are no minimum purchasing requirements to maintain membership status. Applicants, however, must be a licensed audiologist with no outstanding consumer complaints against them.
